Multilingual Content
Your store's content — not just its interface — can be shown in every language you enable. Pages, blog posts, categories, and products can all have a translated version for each language, so visitors see your store in their own language instead of just the buttons and menus around it.
Turning It On
Multilingual content follows the languages you've already set up under Localization & Languages. Once you've enabled a second language there, no other setup is needed — translation options simply appear wherever you edit content.
How It Works
As soon as more than one language is enabled, editing a page, post, category, or product shows a tab for each active language. Fill in the fields under each tab to provide a translation.
- You don't have to translate everything at once. A tab left blank simply falls back to your default language's content — visitors never see a blank or broken page.
- Existing content is unaffected. Anything you created before this feature keeps working exactly as it does now; its current text automatically becomes the default language's version.
- Single-language stores see no change at all. If you only use one language, the tabs don't appear and every editor looks and works exactly as before.
What Can Be Translated
Pages — Go to Admin Dashboard > Pages. Title, content, SEO title, SEO description, and the page's web address can all be translated per language.
Blog — Go to Admin Dashboard > Blog > Posts. Title and content can be translated per language, and the blog's search also matches translated titles and content. Post categories (Admin Dashboard > Blog > Categories) can have a translated name and description too.
Product Categories — Go to Admin Dashboard > Products > Categories. Name and description can be translated per language.
Products — Open any product under Admin Dashboard > Products. The product's name, description, web address, and SEO title/description can all be translated, along with several pieces nested inside the product editor:
- Pricing Plans tab: each plan's name and description.
- Addons tab: each add-on's name and description.
- Support Policy tab: your support & updates policy description.
- Files & Deliverables tab (with Release Management (Versioning) turned on): each release's changelog, so customers can read "what's new in this version" in their own language.
FAQs — Go to Admin Dashboard > Knowledge Base > FAQs, for both product-specific and global FAQs. Question and answer can be translated per language.
What Customers See
Visitors browsing in a language you've translated content into see that language's version automatically — the title, text, and web address all match their selected language. If a specific piece hasn't been translated yet, they see your default language's version instead, so nothing ever looks broken or empty.
Switching languages while viewing a translated page, post, category, or product takes visitors straight to the correct translated version of what they're looking at — on both desktop and mobile — instead of landing on a broken link.
Stores using a right-to-left language, such as Arabic or Hebrew, now display their storefront in the correct reading direction automatically.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to translate everything right away? No. Leave any tab blank and visitors will see your default language's content there instead. You can come back and fill in translations whenever you're ready.
What happens if I only use one language? Nothing changes. Language tabs only appear once a second language is enabled, so single-language stores look and behave exactly as they always have.
Will visitors searching my blog or shop find translated content? Yes — blog and shop search match translated titles and text too, not just your default language's content.
Does this affect my existing pages, posts, or products? No. Everything you've already created keeps working with zero changes required — its current content simply becomes the default language's version, ready for you to add other-language translations to whenever you like.
